The DFW Annual Conference is one of five regions of the Eighth Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, led by Bishop Henry M. Williamson, Sr., Presiding Prelate. It is a regional body that governs much of the life of the Connectional Church, which are individual congregations that are part of a larger network known as an annual conference under the leadership of a bishop. The DFW Region Annual Conference consists of two districts, the Dallas district and the Ft. Worth district. These two districts make up the Dallas-Ft. Worth Region, comprised of 40 churches. Each district is supervised by a Presiding Elder: Rev. Dr. Willie C. Champion, Presiding Elder-Dallas District & Rev. Russell O. Fuller, Presiding Elder-Ft. Worth District.
We are active in communities in and around Dallas, Lewisville, Plano, Grand Prairie, Denton, Fort Worth, Sherman, Van Alstyne, Mesquite, McKinney, Stephenville, Ennis, Dennison, Whitewright, Gainesville, Waco, Cleburn, Jacksboro, Azel, Weatherford, and Mineral Wells. Our membership is continuously growing as we share the love of Christ and the common Christian Methodist Episcopal values wherever we go.
